Inside Cantor, we use essential cookies only. The app, the member portal, and every page your congregation uses (tap, prayer, giving) set no advertising or tracking cookies. Our public marketing pages and signup page use one Google Ads cookie so we can tell which ads lead to new churches signing up.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They are used to remember information between page loads and sessions. Not all cookies are equal — some are essential for a website to function, others are used for advertising or behavioral tracking. Inside the app we only use the former.
Set by Supabase when you sign in. Keeps you logged in between page loads. Required for the app to function. Expires when you sign out or after 7 days of inactivity.
Used to refresh your authentication session without requiring you to sign in again. Stored as an httpOnly cookie for security.
Stored in localStorage (not a cookie, technically) to remember that you've accepted this cookie policy, so we don't keep showing you the banner.
Set by Google only on our public homepage, features, pricing, and signup pages. When you arrive from a Google ad, it remembers that click so we can count whether it led to a signup. It is never set inside the app or on pages your congregation uses. Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland are not given this cookie.
We do not use analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) or social media tracking pixels, and we never place advertising cookies inside the app.
Under GDPR, cookies strictly necessary for the operation of a website do not require explicit consent. All cookies used inside Cantor fall into this category. Our Google Ads cookie would require consent, so it is not set for visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
For users in the EU/EEA, our data processing is based on the legitimate interest of providing a functioning service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for authentication cookies, and your consent for the cookie consent localStorage item.
